Genuine Care or Patronishing ?

I ran into a Quaker friend in town the other day who informed me that I was on the list of people to be contacted by the pastoral care team, and someone would be contacting me shortly. This did not make me feel good, though I think I was supposed to. It would be a duty call delegated to someone who probably didn’t really know or care about…
