Growing Shadows In The Mirror

Growing Shadows In The Mirror

The self I know is fading

In quiet moments, I try to see,
With mindfulness, what’s truly me.
I search for self, a face to know,
But in the mirror, shadows grow.

The ego speaks, it stands so tall,
But deep inside, I feel so small.
Existence feels like a distant sigh,
An endless question asking why.

The abyss waits, dark and still,
A place no light or hope can fill.
I look again, but nothing’s clear —
Just the empty self, and the mirror here.
