A Peaceful Meeting: The Start of an Endless Curiosity

My initial genuine encounter with Buddhism happened during a trip to Sherabling Monastery in Bir, India. Surrounded by majestic silence, decorated with mesmerizing murals of dragons and deities, the monastery turned into a sanctuary where I first sensed an inner transformation. The ambiance was both potent and soothing—it encouraged contemplation and calmness.

While resting in a tranquil corner, I attempted meditation for the very first time. Although it was difficult, that moment proved to be crucial. I recognized that something deep within responded to the serenity and openness enveloping me.

Buddhism’s Teachings: Embracing and Mindful Living

What captivated me most about Buddhism was its acceptance of human nature. It does not demand conformity nor does it chastise for human flaws. Instead, it provides gentle direction—focusing on mindfulness, compassion, and awareness.
