What the Present Moment Offers You

There is only one goal I find worth setting, and that is Buddhahood.

How can you know that I mean that?
How do you know I’m saying it sincerely, rather than fulfilling the writer’s rule that I must grab the reader’s attention from the very first line?

It doesn’t matter.
Nature will decide for you: whether or not you get there will depend on your level of desire to get there.

Whether a person is “in the moment” at any particular time depends on whether the moment is the most attractive place for them to be.

What always stands between you and the moment is the attraction your thoughts have for you.

Nothing will get you consistently into the moment except understanding what it offers, and what you have been choosing instead.

The Moment gives solidness.
It is the kicking of a rock with your foot to verify its reality.
It is right there in front of your eyes and mine.

The moment is home, and a return to yourself. How badly do you want it?
